Established in the 1920s to provide hydro-electric power, Lake Murray comprises over 50,000 acres and 500 miles of shoreline. It is a deep water lake 41 miles in length and 14 miles wide. The Lake Murray Sailing Club is located on it’s northern shore near its widest point. Our location allows us to take advantage of the widest area of open water on the lake for our sailing activities. The lake also features nearby marinas and on the water restaurants just a short sail away.

A note to our friends up north; South Carolina is quickly becoming a retirement destination, with our warm climate, affordable housing and low cost of living, not to mention nearby Columbia being the home of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.
